NEWS: Jasmin Emmerson Appointed Chair of the NPTA

Opti-Catch is proud to share that our Sales Director, Jasmin Emmerson, has been appointed Chair of the National Pest Technicians Association (NPTA).

The appointment was confirmed following a recent NPTA Board meeting and marks an important milestone in Jasmin’s career within the pest control industry. The NPTA is the professional trade association representing pest technicians, manufacturers, and service providers across the UK, with a strong focus on raising standards, promoting professional development, and advocating best practice.

A Trusted Voice Within the Pest Control Industry

Jasmin has been an active and respected contributor to the pest management sector for many years. In her role as Sales Director at Opti-Catch, she works closely with pest control companies, food businesses and auditors to bring clarity around insect light trap compliance, sustainability and the transition from fluorescent to LED technology.

As Chair, Jasmin will guide the NPTA at a time of exciting growth and transformation for the association. Her leadership will support initiatives that strengthen industry training, improve the adoption of best practices, and promote inclusive engagement with pest control professionals at every stage of their careers.

Working in Partnership with the Vice Chair

Jasmin will be supported in her role by Hugh Radford, who has been appointed Vice Chair of the NPTA.

Aligned closely with the NPTA’s original announcement, the Chair and Vice Chair roles will operate as a partnership, with Jasmin and Hugh working together to support the Board, engage with members and help guide the Association’s strategic direction. Hugh brings valuable experience from across the pest control industry, and his appointment ensures continuity, balance and strong collaboration at Board level.

Together, they will focus on strengthening member engagement, supporting professional development and ensuring the NPTA continues to represent the evolving needs of the pest management community.

Through Opti-Catch, she supports pest control professionals in upgrading from fluorescent to LED insect light trap lamps without replacing existing equipment.
